While the poor former prince hopped hopelessly and jumped jerkily, the sorcerer was discreetly going towards Damon's crew. Very discreetly indeed as he transformed himself into a raven and perched upon a branch so as to spy on them. After all, he appeared like a simple bird. No one would be any the wiser for sure. The different members of the crew were arguing about what should be done. The prince had not reappeared. Should they all go look for him? Should they separate into different groups? Or should they stay put? The three youngsters were squabbling, with Prince Brendan adamant about searching at once. He yelled that his brother was gone long enough for anyone to worry about and that he could NOT remain still while his elder brother could be in pain, agonising or in great danger. Time might be running out already! Ramon did think a search would be a good idea and he was willing to go with Brendan, as long as they did not stray too far. Aiden wished to use a spell in one of his scrolls, which was new to him but which he thought might be achievable for him, a spell that should allow him to see where Damon was. The sorcerer was not overly worried. That youth acted in a way which made clear that he was just a beginner. He was surely barely above cheap stupid tricks! As for Jurgen, the captain, he wanted to stay with his ship. No way he was going to leave his pride and joy unattended!
The sorcerer eyed them with interest. It WOULD make things more interesting if these fools could go their separate ways. Then he could pick them up one by one. However, if they remained together, well, he would meet them up front. It might simply be a question of time until he could get these hapless idiots transformed and more likely to end up in his home.
But unbeknownst to him, the fairy aboard had seen him for what he was and while she hid with care, she looked at him. She knew the presence of a sorcerer - albeit transformed - never boded well and Damon's disappearance could not be a coincidence.
