Wanting to explore more you turn away from the hypnotist and the goblins and make your way further into the fairgrounds.
Suddenly a cold blast of air comes by and ruffles your skirt and hair, making you glad for your fur coat. But it chills your face and blows up your skirt making you shiver. Suddenly remembering that the coat has a hood on it you pull it up and over your head, when it is fully on something seems to fall out of it onto your face temporarily blinding you. Before you can panic or try to take it off you, what seems to be a second set of eyelids open and you can see the outside world again. Looking in front of you, you see a large brown protrusion with a black tip between your eyes. Breathing in brings so many new scents that you have not smelled before. Then you can hear much better than before and feel two somethings rotating on the top of the hood. Lifting a petite hand up to the top of your head you feel a fuzzy triangle embedded in the hood twitch and feel your hand on the ear also. Suddenly you hear a whisper seemingly from inside you own head saying, "Thank You for rescuing me !", and realize Charlotte is speaking to you. Then you feel a weight swinging side to side behind you, looking behind you, you realize you have a long brown furry tail coming out of the coat too.
"Mirror !", you murmur to yourself and look around for a restroom. Finding one you head into the woman's restroom without thinking about it. Looking around you find on the opposite wall between a row of sinks and a row of stalls two full length mirrors set next to each other. As you walk closer you feel her memories and mannerisms blending with your own. Your walk becomes distinctly feminine as knowledge of growing up a girl and also learning Japanese enter your head. As you approach the mirrors you see a petite mid twenties woman in a mid thigh long, brown fur coat, it is fitted on the torso and flares out to look like a short dress after it pinches in at the waist. Above it has a fairly close fitting hood with two ears attached to the top. Below that is what at first looks like a dog mask going from your upper lip to your forehead, but then you notice that the eyes and eyebrows are moving as you move yours underneath. Finally at the mirror you give yourself a twirl while looking in the mirror. The tail is attached to the coat just above your tailbone and is wagging still. Your thin skirt flares out in a beautiful silhouette and falls flat again. You know now that that is how it is suppose to look, but wish it was fluffed out all the time, maybe you should ask Ms. Taylor to add petticoats under it. Realizing that your new shirt and skirt are more summer style and now it being late fall you should have asked for a thicker dress or tights for underneath. The warmth of the day earlier had lulled you into forgetting to bring in a coat with you, now a cold front was threatening to send you packing if you could not stay warm and cause you and all your clothes to turn back when you leave.
Reaching up to the mask you hook your fingers under the bottom and pull down. Suddenly the bottom half of the muzzle materializes and seems to be connected to you. Giggling you lick your own nose and you realize you have Charlotte's voice too. Wanting to try something you hook your thumbs under your chin and pull up. The mask starts retreating. First to the upper half again, and then disappears up into the hood with a soft click. The ears and tail calm down and just look like part of the coat now, though you can still feel yourself pet the fur on the arm of the coat and still feel the presence of your companion in your head. "Kawaii !", you murmur with a large grin. Rubbing your newly Asian cheek and raven black, waist length hair you realize you look nothing like either of you used to. A memory drifts by of Charolette learning Japaness to watch animes in their original language. A second of Dalton wishing he understood them better. And a third of you both thinking Kawaii culture was so cute ! You realize you are a blending of whom you were before, an expression of their love for anime and all things Kawaii given form for the weekend. With a cute pout you try to think of a new name. They called us "Meinu" earlier, but taking that one might be too on the nose, and give a cute giggle. Maybe "Meiko" ? That one means "Bright Child" ? Grinning you give yourself a nod in the mirror, that will be our new name for the weekend you think to yourself !
Grinning, Meiko pulls the mask all the way down again and starts skipping towards the exit. "Got to show Ms. Taylor !"
