Your dice rolled and the color pink showed up. You sighed. You were ready to roll it again so as to ensure you chose another dress but in truth, what was the point? After all, they were all girly and a bit ridiculous. So you took the pink dress and used the restroom so as to change. And see the disaster.
First off, the dress was a bit too tight. So much for being just right...Unlike what the fairy tale said... The dress was a soft pink color, with puffy sleeves and a had stocking and cutesy little shoes too. The shoes were a bit too big. At least they wouldn't pinch your feet atrociously while walking. Speaking of being just right... Unlike the fairy tale, this costume missed the mark... Unless it did hit the mark, precisely? The pink dress reached a bit below your knees and the hemps were decorated with white lace. Their were baby blue bows too. There were white stockings decorated with teddy bears, and a pinafore in a white color also decorated with teddy beards, all having a tea party. Very girly indeed... The last element was a very realistic wig, all in curls and golden locks, which fell too your waist. You stepped out out in front of a mirror and you barely recognised yourself. This costume was by no means your favorite but it was not cheap at all! Intrigued to see what the others had, you went to join the masquerade.
And it was quite amazing too! So stunning and stylish that the snacks and high school setting appeared quite shabby in comparison. The costumes and disguises were not cheap at all, and so it really did seem like a world of fantasy had come alive. Luckily for you, no three burly bears came along, but everyone barely recognized you. In fact, the costumes overall fit so much that guessing who was who had become a real trial. It made things incredibly fun, in spite of the music blasting that felt incredibly inappropriate considering the quality and theme of the costumes. You saw wolves, frog princes, princesses, princes, anthropomorphised animals, odd monsters and creatures, elves and fairies... You couldn't remember them all but all looked stunning, just as you must have been in their eyes. The wig was so great that it appeared glued to your head, and that in spite of the prickly feeling that you sensed in the first few minutes of wearing it. So you danced and danced and danced, alongside the other high-schoolers. And the more you danced and moved and twirled and laughed, the more things became a blur, your head started spinning in earnest, so much so that you closed your eyes, if only for a moment, to regain your balance. You wondered briefly if you had hypoglycaemia, or if worse, someone had spiked drinks. Luckily, the sensation vanished quickly and when you opened your eyes again, you couldn't quite believe it. You now stood in a dense forest, green and alive. Birds chirped and butterflies flitted about. It was thick and rays of sunshine came through gaps in the thick foliage. Where were you? Where were the other people? How did you arrive here? Because it all looked very, very real. The smells, the sounds and the feeling of dirt below your shoes. How did this happen? How did you end up here?
You were so taken with your new surroundings that you were still unaware that your sex and age had changed. You were now a seven-year-old little girl, the very one that your costume depicted. Dimly did your brain tell you that now, somehow your costume fitted just right. And that as you were scared, you - for some reason - desired more than anything a teddy bear to hug and cuddle. And you were right to be scared, for in this fantasy realm, a little girl like you was a prized thing to snatch and to hold on to in order to adopt, as a child, little living doll or human pet. Fantasy creatures adored children that way and if they did not desire you to coddle, then they knew other creature that would pay a pretty penny for you to do just that...
