Lazlo brought Dan into an employees only area. He pulled out his phone.
"Okay, here's the deal. I'm not gonna change you. I'm actually going to show you how to change yourself," he said. Dan frowned, but nodded. Lazlo tapped on the screen of his phone, pulling up the store's app. "If you come into the store on a day you don't work, you'll have customer access to the app. But when you're working, you have employee access," he explained.
"I can't see," Dan whined. Lazlo rolled his eyes. He crouched next to Dan so she could see. "Thank you."
"Yeah, no prob. Anyways, the employee version of the app is more limited than customer. You can't change anyone else and what you can change about yourself is really limited. Basically, all you can do is fix your clothes. There are a few skills you can adjust, if someone made it impossible for you to do your job. But most of them are grayed out and you can't mess with them. Here." Lazlo showed Dan his profile. Like he said, there weren't many options for adjustment. "All right, pull up the app on your phone."
Dan did as she was told. She scowled at her avatar on screen. A cute little girl. Multiple warnings popped up, explaining what changes had been done to her, as well as the fact that the customer had left the store, so the changes would stay until a new customer reversed them. Dan's cheeks grew warm at the exclamation mark near her avatar's waist, which was accompanied by a note that her diaper was dirty.
"Go into skills," Lazlo said. Dan clicked on the Skills tab. Like with Lazlo, almost every skill was grayed out, unable to be adjusted. Including potty training. She groaned. "Sorry. Guess your potty training doesn't count as crucial to your job." He squinted at the screen. "But it looks like that girl did mess with a few things you need for your job, so you can fix those." Dan eagerly returned her other skills, such as speaking and movement, back to normal. "Okay, now go to Uniform."
Dan clicked on the Uniform tab. Her avatar reappeared, but now only the warning about her dirty diaper was on screen.
"Tap the warning about your diaper," Lazlo said. Dan blushed again, but did so. A pop up window asked her if she wanted a change. "Click yes." Dan clicked yes. Immediately, her messy diaper was replaced with a fresh one. "See? Pretty easy."
"Yeah, thanks for showing me," Dan said in relief.
"Not a problem. It'll make your life a whole lot easier for however long it takes for you to get back to normal," Lazlo said. Dan nodded. "All right, get back out there, kiddo!"
Dan went back out into the main floor. She took a deep breath and silently prayed for someone to return her back to normal.
