Of course, it wasn't just the Lunar New Year competitions that were holding attention. There were the other things that came with Lunar New Year as well, such as the parades, the food, and some new activities as well, mainly ones inspired by "western" festival activities. For example, there was a ring toss game where people had to toss snake-patterned rings around certain colors, and also a "whak-a-mole"-style game where snakes would pop out of jars/baskets for kids to "whack".
There were also various snake-themed prizes to win at said games, though these were mainly stuffed animals, though there were a few rare prizes and the occasional conversion prize.

There were also several snake "demonstrations" featuring feral species of snakes, though these were clearly labeled to show which ones were poisonous/dangerous to young children and which ones weren't, so children wouldn't get bitten by accident.

Of course, the biggest party, in terms of popularity, was the one at the Meat Market. While not a lot of competitors in the Mr. or Ms. Zodiac pageants were dancing or stripping, it was still quite the Chinese-themed party, with all the red and gold and female strippers wearing easily removable cheongsams (males were wearing Chinese-patterned speedos that both showed off their muscles and highlighted their bulges).

What everyone was enjoying the most, no matter who or what they were, was the food. Of course, there had to be several reminders present to not eat just the mooncakes, though there were still those who overindulged in those sweets, to hilarious results. Even more so when snake Animalians were the ones doing the overindulging.
