Lina looked at the many choices on offer. The vending machines had for sale only drinks that seemed either fakes or foreign brands. That was strange and made Lina rather wary. She feared getting something too chemical or vile-tasting. She would hate to get something that was too overpowering in terms of synthetic flavors. But she would not really know what she would be getting. So she sort of pressed at random, selecting something named "Puppy Punch". With a few clangs, the soda arrived. The term of "punch" had made Lina decide and as she grabbed the can she saw it was called "Puppy Punch" indeed with the logo of an anime large-eyed puppy dog on it. She opened the can and sipped tentatively the drink. It was fizzy and very good. You could truly taste the punch of it. The quality was much higher than Lina had expected fore sure?
"Wow," she said.
"What?" asked Amy.
"This drink. It's way better than I expected," said Lina, handing the drink to her friend.
"Are you sure? It looks fake to me," frowned Amy.
"I thought so too but it's not. Really," argued Lina.
Amy tasted the soda and nodded, admitting her friend was right. Both finished the drink and went their way. But the canine transformation was already upon them and looming fast.
