As Josh and Danielle sat down for dinner, Josh's mind began to wander back to the small, mysterious object in his pocket. He couldn't explain why, but he felt an inexplicable connection to it. As they ate, Josh found himself fidgeting with the object, his fingers tracing the smooth surface.
Danielle, noticing his distraction, asked, "Hey, what's on your mind? You seem a million miles away."
Josh hesitated, unsure of how to articulate his thoughts. "I don't know... I just feel like we've lost something, you know? That spark we used to have when we were in college... I wish we could go back to those times when we were still very much in love with each other."
As soon as the words left his lips, Josh felt a strange sensation wash over him. The room began to blur and distort, like a painting smeared by a wet brush. Danielle's eyes widened in confusion as she looked at Josh, and then suddenly, they were both enveloped in a bright, pulsating light.
When the light faded, Josh found himself standing in a familiar place - the campus of their alma mater. But something was off. The buildings looked newer, the trees smaller, and the people... younger. Josh's eyes landed on Danielle, and his jaw dropped as he took in her appearance. She was no longer the 40-year-old woman he had grown accustomed to; instead, she looked like the vibrant, 20-year-old college student he had fallen in love with.
Josh's own reflection in a nearby window revealed that he, too, had been transformed. His balding hair was now full and brown, his face smoother, and his body leaner. He was once again the 22-year-old man he had been when they first met.
Danielle's eyes sparkled with wonder as she gazed at Josh. "What's going on? How did we...?"
