As Jeff eagerly clicked the final button to make the transformation, a strange glitch in the system seemed to cause an unexpected ripple. Rather than affecting Jeff, the program malfunctioned and applied the changes to his mother instead. The moment the button was clicked, a faint whirring sound echoed from the device, and the screen flashed red before stabilizing.
To Jeff's horror, he realized too late that he'd accidentally set the parameters to alter his mother's age, not his own.
The transformation began almost instantly. His mother, who had just left to make dinner, was walking down the hall when her body began to shrink. Her once adult frame rapidly diminished, her skin smoothing as the years melted away. She looked down in shock as her body began to regress, clothing becoming increasingly too big as her form took on the shape of a younger child.
Before she could even react, her hair shortened, her face softened, and her features transformed into that of a toddler. Her voice became softer, more babyish, as she let out a small gasp of confusion. “Jeff… what’s happening?”
But it wasn’t just her. The entire house began to change along with her. Now there was a new room which was a nursery. There were now baby gates in the house and there was a large supply of diapers and baby food at their disposal. And a ton of toys scattered across the floor.
His mother’s panic grew as she realized what was happening to her. She cried out weakly, her voice now that of a baby, “Jeff! Help! What’s happening to me?!”
Jeff froze in place, staring at the screen in horror. His mother, now barely able to speak, had been reduced to an infant. She lay in a pile of her own oversized clothes, struggling to move her small, now-helpless body.
Just then, a sudden blackout struck the house. The power cut out completely, plunging the room into darkness, and the screen on the device flickered out. Jeff's heart raced in his chest as he scrambled to figure out what to do next. Panicked, he pulled the device from the computer and tried to reset it, but the buttons were unresponsive.
