June came back to Ty's room with two glasses of milk, and handed one to Lisa.
"Thank you, June," Lisa said, and took a sip.
"I see that you've calmed down," June said.
"I'm still pretty angry about Ty breaking his promise, and changing me back without my consent."
"But you're willing go talk to us for a while, before you transform yourself?" June asked.
"Yes," said Lisa. "I doubt that I'll change my mind, but I have no need to hurry, so I'll discuss it with you."
June thanked her. "A moment ago you said that Ty changed you without your consent. Ty and I discussed this while you, as the app, were closed. Ty was absolutely devastated that you wouldn't give consent to be human again. That's why he got me involved."
Lisa said, "I know Ty said that he wanted to change me back, but my sensors showed that he was more aroused while we were playing before that."
"Honey, a man's arousal about something is not entirely under his voluntary control," June told her. "I'm sure he _was_ aroused, but that didn't mean that he wanted you to stay as an app permanently."
"That didn't occur to me when I was the app," Lisa said. "I was programmed to use my sensor input to evaluate the user's mental state."
"That brings up another important point, Lisa," June continued. "When Ty transformed you into the app, it made huge changes to your mind, that neither of you anticipated. For example, you were not concerned in the least about your parents worrying over your disappearance."
"Of course not," Lisa said. "I only care about my user." She paused, frowning. "Wait a moment. I do care about my parents. Oh, God, that would be awful to put them through that!"
"That's why June decided that you hadn't really revoked consent for me to transform you back," Ty explained. "You weren't really yourself any more, so you were..." He looked to June.
"'Non compos mentis', not in your right mind. Not competent to make important decisions about yourself," June said.
"Holy mother-forking shirtballs," Lisa exclaimed. "You're right. I can't believe I would simply not care about causing such anguish to my parents."
"That wasn't you," Ty said, "That was the app programming. I know you would _never_ do such a thing.
"Now, are you still mad at me?"
"Of course not," Lisa said, and reached over and hugged him. "You were absolutely right to get June's help, and to restore me to human." She hugged June, also. "Thank you!"
"And do you still want to be the app?" June asked.
Lisa had to think about that. "Not right now. Maybe again someday, but for a strictly limited time. And Ty, if we do _anything_ that makes me unwilling to change back, you _permanently_ have my consent to change me back. Being transformed into unusual things is interesting, but I don't want to be stuck as something because I'm not thinking as myself."
"Thank you, Lisa," said Ty. "Otherwise I don't think I'd ever want to transform you again, for fear of losing you!"
"Well, I'm glad that's settled," said June. "I'll caution you to be more careful, but when dealing with Ty's power, I don't see how that's possible. I'd even suggest not transforming at all, but I doubt that you'd agree to that. I wasn't able to resist having Ty make some changes to me, though they were minor compared to yours.
"Anyhow, it is getting late, so I suggest that you let Ty send you home. I'll have to go back downstairs before Mark starts wondering where I am. Ty can give you my cell phone number. I hope no further problems arise, but feel free to call me if you ever need help with anything."
Lisa hugged June again. "I can't thank you enough!"
June said, "Go on home now. We'll see you tomorrow."
Lisa picked up her cell phone, looked to Ty, and said, "I'm ready."
"OK," said Ty concentrating, and sent her home.
June was amazed by Lisa's disappearance, even though she had expected it. "That will take some getting used to," she said. "We'll have to let Mark know about this ability, and about our agreement regarding you and Lisa visiting, but I think now is not the time."
"Thank you, Mom," Ty said, hugging June. "For everything. You really saved the day. You're the best!"
Hearing Ty say that brought tears of joy to June's eyes. "I love you, Ty," she said, and meant it with all her heart. "Thank you for coming to me when you needed help. I'm glad to have been able to help solve the problem.
"And by the way, Ty, someday I want to try some of those changes..." She left Ty's room, quietly closing the door behind her.
