Was Anna serious? Did she really want Josh to be a woman? Josh had to admit that the thought was a bit of a turn on. He had the power to do it right now. Thanks to the VIP powers he didn’t need to be in his suite to make a change. According to the knowledge he had absorbed while he was in a white space, he could make physical or mental changes to anyone or himself so long as he was on the resort grounds. But he did want to use those powers sparingly and wisely.
“Anna. Slow down! I need to ask you something”
His girlfriend finally stopped and turned to him. “What is it Josh?”
“Do you actually want me to become a woman”
“I don’t care whether you are a woman or not. I find you a fun person to be around and I’m sure that would remain the case no matter what form you are in. I just want to be with you but I don’t want to put my job at risk. I’ve finally found a job I enjoy and one where I can use my language skills in. I want to keep it. If you were a woman we would just be seen as friends having dinner together and there would be no hint of romantic involvement”
“Maybe they would think we were in a lesbian relationship”
Anna rolled her eyes. “I’m not a lesbian. Why would you even think that?”
“I didn’t. I know you are not a lesbian. I didn’t mean to offend you” then another thought came to Josh. “What if I was another staff member? Could you have dinner with me then without breaking your rules”
“I believe having dinner with a colleague would not arouse any suspicion, but why do you ask? You’re not a staff member”
“But I could become one”
“Josh! I had to wait two years for my application to reach the top of the pile and I can speak over 20 languages fluently. What makes you think you could jump the queue?”
Josh had forgotten that Anna was unaware of how he had manipulated the system to get her the job. He decided not to enlighten her. “But you forget I’m the VIP. I could just change my attire to the staff uniform and everyone would think we are just work colleagues”
“Actually that could work. It wouldn’t matter that no one else on staff would recognise you as we are used to everyone getting transformed all the time”
Josh was surprised that Anna had agreed so readily. “Great! I’ll do it straight away”. He immediately went to his white space and changed what he was wearing to the red trousers and beige shirt he had seen many of the male staff members wearing. “How’s that?” He asked.
Anna nodded “Very good, but you will need a name badge”
“Easy” Almost immediately he had badge identical to Anna’s other than the name was ‘Josh’
“That won’t do. You will need a female name. You will have to pretend you are a female staff member who has been sex changed. Call yourself ‘Kate’. There are 4 Kate’s on staff. No one will know which Kate you are”
Josh had no problem with that.Seconds later the name tag on his chest read ‘Kate’
Anna nodded the smiled “Okay Kate, we had better get dinner. I only have 30 minutes of my break left”
