Lisa and Ty went downstairs to the kitchen, where Ty was somewhat surprised to see June and Mark, as they usually ate breakfast earlier. Perhaps they had decided to sleep in. "Good morning," Ty greeted them.
Mark said, "Good morning," as he read the newspaper.
"Good morning, Ty, Lisa! You look very nice, Lisa. I didn't notice that you brought a change of clothing."
"Um..." said Lisa.
Ty said, "Neither of us thought about that yesterday, so I cheated this morning. We teleported to her bedroom for just a few minutes so she could change. We weren't trying to sneak around without permission, so I hope you don't mind us going there just briefly without telling you."
June asked, "Mark, is that OK?"
Mark set down the newspaper, and said, "You don't need to tell us if you go just to her room and back quickly. But if anything prevents you from coming right back, please call or text us." June nodded.
"Thanks, Dad!" Ty said.
June said. "I'm making pancakes. Would you two like to join us?"
"Yes, please," Lisa said, and Ty nodded.
"What do you kids have planned for the day?" June asked.
Lisa answered, "After we eat, I should probably head home. I'll have some chores to do. But after that, if it's OK with my parents, I'd like to invite Ty over, and maybe have him spend the night."
"That's fine," June said. "Just let us know. And it's a school night, so Ty, make sure you get up early enough to get to school on time."
"Yes, ma'am," Ty said. "We both will." He turned to Mark. "I'll mow the lawn and pull the weeds, Dad."
Mark was unaccustomed to hear Ty volunteer for chores. "You don't have to do that, son. It's Dustin's turn."
"That's OK, Dad. Since he's away, I don't mind doing it. All of my school work is done."
"Don't you want to just do it 'your way'?" Mark asked. "I wouldn't have a problem with that."
"No thank you, Dad. I don't mind doing it the normal way."
"OK," said Mark. "Thank you." Ty was not accustomed to being thanked for doing chores.
Ty put two additional place settings on the table, and Lisa and he sat, just as June brought over a plate stacked high with pancakes. "Help yourselves," she said, and everyone did.
Lisa asked, "I'm sorry to be picky, but do you have any low-calorie syrup?"
"I'm sorry, we do not," said June. "I'll add that to my shopping list."
But as June was saying that, Ty waved his arm, and a bottle of it appeared on the table. "We do now," he said.
"Thank you, Ty," both Lisa and June said simultaneously.
As they finished eating, June said to Lisa, "I'm leaving for my hairdresser in about 20 minutes. It's in the same direction as your house. Can I give you a ride?"
"Yes, thank you," said Lisa.
"I'll clean up," said Ty.
"And I'll help," added Lisa.
"Thank you," said June, "I'll go get ready," and headed upstairs.
Lisa and Ty cleared the table, rinsed the dishes and skillet, loaded the dishwasher, and started it. Then they sat in the living room, and chatted. It wasn't long before June came downstairs. Lisa said, "You look quite nice too," and Ty nodded.
"Thank you. Are you ready to go?"
Lisa said, "Yes, thank you." She and Ty stood up, and kissed briefly. "Bye! Love you!" she told Ty.
"Love you too!" Ty replied. "Call me later."
Ty walked both ladies to the front door, which he opened for them. Once they were on their way, he went back to the kitchen. Mark was still reading the newspaper. "Dad," Ty asked, "is everything OK with your changes?"
"What?" asked Mark, setting down the newspaper. "Oh! Those changes! Yes! Thank you again!"
"And if you'll forgive me for prying, are things better in the bedroom?"
Mark blushed. "Um, yes. June seemed surprised, and asked if I'd started taking Cialis. I didn't tell her about the changes you did for me. We were intimate last night, and again this morning."
Aha, thought Ty. That's why they were later than usual to breakfast. "Great, Dad! Just let me know if you ever want any other changes."
"Thank you!" said Mark.
"You're welcome." Ty went out to do the yard work.
