"I don't think they're gonna just reveal trade secrets to you," Joy said, really wishing that Julie would change her mind. Joy didn't like the way Julie was acting...she seemed odd somehow, though Joy would have been unable to explain WHAT about her was odd.
"There's only one way to find out," Julie said, trotting over to the clowns, leaving Joy standing alone. Sighing, Joy followed along, not wanting to be left alone.
"Hey!" said Julie as she walked up to the clowngirls, "You two were in the show, right? The Metamorpho thing?"
"Yeah," said one of them, smiling at the twins. "So...what did you think?"
"It was....interesting," Joy replied, an uneasy feeling in her stomach. An uncomfortable vibe seemed to be permeating the very air she was breathing, as though something very wrong was going to happen, and soon.
"It was AWESOME!" Julie said, stunning Joy. "So, which one of you girls was the werewolf?"
"I was," replied the one on the left. "Though we both have done the transformation tons of times."
"So you liked it, then?" asked the clowngirl on the right.
"It was okay," Joy replied, "I'll admit I've never seen anything like that before."
"Yeah," added Julie, "So how the hell do you pull something off like that? I mean, I never saw the switch between you and the person in the costurme! I swore I was watching you transform into a werewolf!"
"You didn't see a switch, because there WAS no switch, darling," said the clowngirl on the left, "I really changed."
"I told you they weren't going to tell you the secret, Julie," scolded Joy.
"But we just did," said the one on the right. "It was real magic, whether you want to believe it or not."
"Well, I guess you'd have to put me in the 'not' category, then," replied Joy, "Let's go, Julie."
"You'll believe soon enough, one way or the other," said the clowngirl on the left, "You got touched by the beam. It's just a matter of time until it happens to you two as well."
