Lupa, goddess of werewolves paused in the darkness of the woods her werewolf body hardly even noticing the cold, her thick winter coat keeping her warm even as the snow gently fell around her. Her canine ears twisted to focus on the sounds she was hearing as she turned her head slightly to the right.
She was at the base of a hill; it would have been a hard climb for a human but not for her as she moved up the hill with ease. Her claws sinking into the roots of trees to help her move up with ease. She didn’t have to go far until she saw the artificial lights of human-made buildings.
There were multiple cabins all sitting on the top of his hill with a road leading down. With her scent of smell she could determine that most of the cabins were full but one wasn’t. It helped that it the only one totally dark. She moved toward it and scanned the area using the shadows of night and the falling snow to hide her from any human eyes.
There were five cabins in total, four occupied and the one whom she was currently hiding beside empty. All the cabins had humans within them, two of them seemed to have more than the other two and where far loader then the others.
Those two seemed to have young humans having some kind of party, she could smell the hormones of youth on them, the sexual drive and the alcohol. That was a tempting target, if she turned them she would have a strong starting pack which would have males and females of breeding age ready to repopulate. However, there was many of them so the risk was high, but if done right the rewards would be worth it.
The other two cabins had far fewer humans, she only smelled one maybe two humans from the one of the two and judging from the lack of sound they were asleep and would be an easy prey. The issue is she didn’t know what type of human or humans where there. An elderly couple would be little use to her, but a young male or female would be useful.
The last one had the smell of at least four humans, and she could hear the voices of at least two humans. One male, one female seemly of breeding age however she couldn’t tell the ages of the other two, they could be cubs which would be useful in the long run but a hindrance in the short term.
