As per the usual lately, you reach home after your mom has left for work, so you see to dinner and Leo's homework and send him to bed. Unfortunately, your mom's off tomorrow night, so any interrogation about your new school will probably happen then. Better have some cookie-cutter answers lined up ahead of time. As for the Superhero Club...maybe you'll just say it has to do with comics?
Finally alone in your room after showering, the door locked, you decide to experiment a little. Yesterday's escapade showed you that even if you didn't want to throw yourself into danger, danger might just come looking for you. If you didn't have the suit, that hero and possibly you as well would have ended up as minced meat for whatever that "villain" was. You didn't want to show off your powers to anyone, but it wouldn't hurt to have a safety net if you ended up cornered again.
Furthermore, it's not like no one knew about your powers. The Superhero Club must answer to somebody, especially since they worked with actual heroes, and each club also had a faculty advisor, something you forgot to ask about. Since multiple people already know, there's no guarantee your secret would stay secret. You'd have to make some contingency plans in case that happened.
Taking off your pajamas, the suit unfurls itself. You had already changed once for the shower, and unlike the first day, where one change exhausted you, this time you feel a little more efficient in your use of energy. Therefore, you decide to try a few changes, especially to find out if you can change directly from one animal form to another, something you haven't tried yet. Not to mention, just how much can you change, size-wise? You definitely weren't going to go for elephant in your room, but what about chihuahua? Or even mouse? So far all your changes had been in the range of your current mass, but considering how Powerhouse changed...
You shake your head and try to focus in front of the mirror. This time you don't close your eyes, as you want to see the changes. You sit on your haunches, tail out behind you, claws on the floor in front of you, and try for a relatively simple change. In front of you on the floor is your biology textbook, open to the zoology section for reference. Even though your past changes were simply based on your vague ideas regarding the change, this time you want to be a bit more systematic. As you stare at yourself, visualizing the change, it almost seems like the mirror's surface ripples, although it is actually your image alone that ripples. Your muzzle lengthens, your claws become paws, fur sprouts all over, and suddenly, staring back at you in the mirror is a full-fledged wolf.
"Wow," you breathe out softly, although it sounds more like a Scooby-Doo "Rrow." Your voice is different too, but despite the changes in anatomy, it does seem like you can still talk. You wish you could try yipping or howling, but you don't dare do that in the house. You stand up and pace back and forth on all fours a few times, studying your new form. Although the changes seem to come easier with practice, it still takes real concentration, and you've only tried relatively simple mammalian forms. What if you tried something more complicated? Or could you only change a part of your anatomy without changing the rest? The scales form you took while showering seemed to indicate that was possible, since you didn't turn into a full-fledged lizard. But how far can you go? While there's certain things you definitely can't do in your room, you're tempted to take this experimentation a little further.
