As Jennifer made her way down the hallway, she did her best to avoid the few kids being shoved into lockers or pantsed. A bathroom door swung open as a girl staggered out gagging as her hair was soaked from a swirly.
Jennifer rounded a corner as she was suddenly tackled by someone. She could feel her hair being pulled as she let out a yelp of pain. Pressed against the wall she struggled to get a good look at the guy. "Hey wait wait wait!" Jennifer tried to mutter out before she felt the grip relax. "Oh shit you got a mark." The boy took a few steps back as he spotted the sticker on Jennifer. She turned and huffed at him "What the fuck is your problem?" A deeper voice from somewhere echoed the question mockingly. "Yea, what the fuck is your problem?" The boy gulped as he turned around.
A teacher stood annoyed as he tapped his foot. "You know the rules Richard, that's the second time you've broken them." In a flash the teacher grabbed the kids arm as he tried to run away. The teacher easily picked up Richard as he ragdolled him against the wall. "You've forgotten your place." The teacher said as he took out a red pen, marking a line down Richard's face. The mark of death it was called. If anyone overstepped and tried to overtake someone stronger and failed they would be marked for the rest of the day, signaling they were the weakest. The bottom of the rung that even the frailest freshmen could bully.
The teacher stood up as he straightened out his blazer before staring at Jennifer before walking away. That was scary Jennifer thought to herself, the teachers ruled the school, literally. Being so much stronger than the students they had set themselves up with quite the racket. Honestly that kid has to off easy, atleast the mark of death only lasted a day, he could have been branded forever...
Jennifer gave a swift kick the kid as he tried to stand up, as he groaned and slid back down to the ground. Fixing her hair she continued to her next class.
