As Jeff continues to try and decide about what to do he hears the front doorbell ring, the teen lets out a sigh before getting to his feet and heading downstairs.
When Jeff opens the door he finds himself face to face with the grinning visage of his best friend Alan Fox, “heya, Jeff,” the teen says in his usual joyful voice, “long time no see, hu?”
“Alan, what are you doing here,” Jeff asks in surprise.
Alan, who lives about four hours away, simply grins, “well, my parents are away over the weekend and I have nothing better to do,” he says, “so, I decided to pay you a surprised visit and spend the weekend with you, I mean… if that’s okay with you?”
Jeff thinks for a while, he then smiles, “sure, come on in, mate,” he says, stepping aside, “besides, I have a new game I’m trying out, I think it’ll be much more fun if we’d try it out together”.
“Oh? What kinda game,” Alan asks, stepping inside the house.
Jeff closes the door behind his friend, “follow me to my room,” he says, “I’ll show you”.
Once Alan and Jeff are in Jeff’s room, Jeff shows the Chronivac to his friend and explains what it exactly. Alan, by nature, is a extremely skeptical person, but after a small demonstration, where Jeff changes his hair color from black to turquoise and back to black, Alan is stunned, but then grins wide as ideas begin flooding his mind.
“So, Alan,” Jeff asks, excitement in his voice, “what do you think?”
Alan grins, “oh, I think we’ll have tons of fun with this,” he says, “I have some fun ideas, however, we should set some rules”.
Jeff nods, “yeah, the most important rule being: no messing with the other’s mind,” he says, “and whatever change is done, it should be on temporary, meaning: the changes need to revert back to normal by Sunday evening”.
Alan nods, “agreed, and since it’s Friday, we have two and a half full days”.
Jeff smiles and nods, “so, what ideas do you have in mind?”
