"...go for a walk?" Jim suggested. "After all, we've got a stroller just your size."
"It's dark, though," Mikey said around his pacifier. Night had begun to fall while they napped. Jim looked out the nursery window.
"It's just dusk, really. Still plenty bright outside." He tickled Mikey's tummy. Mikey squirmed and giggled, feeling pee spurt into his fresh diaper. "And your big, strong Dad can protect you."
"Okay. Some fresh air might be good," Mikey agreed. Jim carried him out of the nursery and to the front door, where the stroller was waiting. He buckled Mikey into the stroller and then quickly texted Stacey to let her know where they were, just in case she came back while they were still on their walk.
They left the house. Jim hummed cheerfully as he pushed Mikey's stroller. Mikey looked around, viewing the neighborhood with new eyes, now that he was a baby. They weren't the only people walking in the nice evening air. There were people in pairs, with dogs, and even strollers like Mikey was in.
