"Are you crazy?" Nikki gaped. "C'mon, Jess, you're not going to keep going, enough is enough!"
"But there's so many fun options," Jessica whined as she scrolled away, suffering from an overabundance of riches. "And besides, no one will know any better."
"We don't know that! It's only you and me here, what if something went wrong?" Nikki asked, finally settling on a possible tack for possibly getting Jessica away from the Chronivac. "We should go out and see what really changed before you do anything else!"
Jessica reluctantly paused, then finally nodded. "Yeah, you got a point there..."
"Of course I do," Nikki pressed. "Let's go look around before this goes any further."
Jessica allowed Nikki to usher her away from the computer. It took a few minutes for Jessica to figure out how to tie her shoes with four hands, but that was mainly because she insisted on tying one shoe with one pair of hands and the other shoe with the other pair at the same time. Nikki was so worked up she almost forgot she still had a tail, which swished around nervously. The two friends took a walk down the street, Nikki nervously looking about, while Jessica proudly strutted, showing off her arms and tail. As the approached the park where various people were walking about, Nikki tensed up and waited for...
Nothing. Well, nothing apart from the occasional wave or nod hello. No one even seemed to notice Jessica's extra arms, let alone her tail. No one even looked twice at Nikki's tail, which had been swaying constantly in agitation.
"See, I told you it'd work," Jessica laughed at Nikki's discomfiture. "So, what should we do next with the Chronivac?"
