Jacob turned away from his arms, too afraid of what he would see them becoming.
“I have to get out of here!” Jacob yelled and without a second thought he rushed out of the kitchen and to the hallway connecting the back of house and the dining room.
It was empty. That was good. Jacob could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he breathed heavily, fear building up not only from the unexplainable events happening around him, but also by the mere fact he was now also transforming.
“Where do I go? Where do I go?” Jacob thought as he jerked his head left and right, trying to find some means of escape.
Jacob knew he was transforming—that was obvious—but from observing his fellow employees and the customers, he also knew that the transformations came with two strange rules.
One: Certain people, items, and environments influenced the transformations. Such as how the random fox in front of Trevor had somehow turned into his boyfriend.
Two (and the most important one): The transformations appeared to cause a sort of “opposite effect” on people. It could be something mental, like turning Trevor from a straight homophobic guy into a bisexual guy with a preference for men, or physical, like short and lanky Mark becoming a giant and muscular anthro bull. Either way, each person had something random about them altered to be the complete opposite of what it once was… and this terrified Jacob.
Jacob knew that these rules meant he had to be VERY careful on where he decided to go next. However, in his panicked state, Jacob couldn’t think clearly, and the strange sensations throughout his body were only making things worse.
