Jacob stared at the mirror placed above the sink, examining his new reflection closely.
First and foremost, Jacob was a ferret. His entire face was coated in white fur except for a mask of dark brown fur around his eyes. In addition, the entire back side of his head was coated with the same dark brown fur.
On the top of his head, two circular ears could be seen, the insides pink and the outside covered in white fur. Jacob could also tell that he could hear much better with them than before. However, he chose to ignore that and focus more on examining his appearance.
Jacob’s eyes were still blue, but his nose was completely different—it was pink and a different shape. Furthermore, his mustelid schnoz now resided on top of a muzzle that extended from his face. Opening his jaw revealed much sharper teeth, especially his canines, and a longer tongue.
Jacob closed his mouth and looked at the only other part of his body not covered by his clothing: his arms and hands. They were covered in dark brown fur. Looking at his hands and fingers, Jacob noticed that they had become wider and thicker. Additionally, his nails had turned into white claws and there were now pink paw pads under his fingertips.
After doing this, Jacob had finished confirming how much of a ferret he was. Now he had to observe all the other physical changes he had gone through.
Jacob looked at his reflection. He was still the same height, so that was good, but his entire figure had changed. Before, Jacob was lean and lanky, now he was buff! His work uniform fit him tightly, his chest broader with two large pecs pushing up against the front of his shirt. Meanwhile, the sleeves of his shirt felt incredibly snug, his big biceps almost threatening to rip the sleeves apart if he accidentally flexed too much.
Looking down, Jacob could see—and feel—how tight the rest of his clothes was. His pants pressed against his thicker and muscular legs while his boxers struggled to constrain his backside which was more defined and sturdy.
Turning around and cranking his head toward the mirror to look at his back, Jacob spotted something he had completely forgotten about. Above his bubble butt, a long and bushy tail covered in dark brown fur came out of a tail hole cut into his underwear and pants. It began to flick side to side as Jacob subconsciously focused on it.
Turning back around, Jacob shut his eyes and tried to keep himself from breaking down. Whatever was happening to everyone had gotten to him. And, for whatever reason, it had turned him into a muscular anthro ferret.
“Jacob, are you ok?”
Aiden’s voice startled Jacob as he turned to see the snow leopard leaning against the wall with his arms folded against his chest, the same concerned look still on his face.
An instant blush came to Jacob’s face as he realized he had gotten so lost in looking at himself he had forgotten that Aiden was still with him. Which also meant he had been witness to all the strange behavior Jacob had been doing as he closely inspected himself.
Maybe… he could play it off?
“Yeah, I was just making sure I wasn't hurt anywhere,” Jacob lied.
“And are you?” Aiden asked.
“No, besides my stomach feeling a little sore, I feel fine,” Jacob responded.
“Well, physically, not emotionally,” Jacob thought.
Aiden stared at Jacob with an unconvinced expression. “And your head? It doesn’t hurt at all? You were acting kinda startled and spaced out earlier; I think you might have a concussion.”
“Oh, that. I was just… surprised, that’s all,” Jacob said. “Trust me, I never landed on my head, so I’m perfectly fine.”
“Hmmm, if you say so,” Aiden said before letting out a deep sigh. “Geez, don’t scare me like that. I thought my ________ hurt himself.
