Colony-specific celebrations were not unheard of for Animalia. In fact, Vilcabamba had its own version of Rio de Janeiro's Carnival. It was just that some were more well-known than others.
---
Case in point, Heiya Island's Cherry Blossom Festival. While it wasn't celebrated outside of Heiya Island, it was still one of the most popular Animalian-friendly celebrations in Asia (Since it was attended by people from China, Korea, and Southeast Asia, not just Japan. As usual, the Quasi-Racoon Cuties were covering the special event. However, there were a few things that weren't covered, and for good reason.
---
One thing that wasn't covered was a special photoshoot from Animalia School of Modeling. While it was an 'Asian'-themed photoshoot (thus featuring clothing like kimonos, tabi socks, and the wooden sandals known as 'geta', there were also a few for the more 'daring' models, who did so nearly naked, with only 'natural' censorship (i.e. using tree branches, flowers, etc. to provide modesty).
---
One thing that the Quasi-Raccoon Cuties did cover was another of Hatsane Mako's concerts. What made her different from other Pop Stars was that the reason why she didn't do concerts very often was because she was working on both martial arts and bodybuilding to maintain her stage-worthy body. While she was known for her golden slingkini, she added an all-natural body oil (made especially for Animalians) that not only highlighted the definition of her muscles but made her sparkle like a diamond underneath stage lighting.
---
Another thing the Quasi-Raccoon Cuties covered was the final part of the final preview for the 2025 IAC. It was a brief meeting between William/Anjin, Hanzo, Jr., and Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu that Hide suddenly interrupted. While understandably annoyed that their meeting was interrupted, they were greatly relieved to see that it was Hide, who had vanished several months before without a trace. It was then that Hide showed them the artifact he had found that spirited him away: a strange blue crystal marble the size of an average baseball. When he refused to hand it over, he gave a good reason why that was.
"I'm still investigating its power because, without it, I never would have met my Ranni."
"'Ranni'?" asked Hideyoshi, slightly surprised, "Who's Ranni?"
"I am Ranni," she said as she entered the room behind Hide, "and Hide is my new consort."
"Oh!" said Hideyoshi, suddenly understanding, with Nobunaga and Ieyasu catching on.
"There's nothing official yet," said Hide, quickly, "but we've chosen this summer for the event."
"Afterwards," said Ranni, "Hide and I will set of on our journey throughout the stars, which will last for at least a thousand years."

Of course, the other things the Quasi-Raccoon Cuties covered were the food, drink (including sake flavored with cherry syrup), parades, and fireworks at night, so there were plenty of fun and laughs to be had.
Speaking of laughs, the fact that April 13th would be the final day of the 2025 celebration, there were plenty of pranks to be had here and there, usually pit trap pranks and people-suddenly-breaking-through-false-walls pranks. While most of these weren't really funny per se, especially for the uninitiated/unfamiliar, the same thing could be said for pranks that originate in the West.
