Ty found himself once again lying next to Lisa, on her bed, in her bedroom. He was utterly exhausted. According to the clock, only about three minutes had passed since he had started his quest to restore Lisa's mind, but that was outside-world time. In here, in this bedroom... he had to do some mental arithmetic. In here it had been more than a week, and he hadn't slept much in that time.
He looked at Lisa's body in admiration. She was still not breathing, but Ty had gotten used to that, and knew that she was fine. She was beautiful as ever, even with the change he'd made to her as she slept. He hoped she wouldn't mind it when she awakened. He made the complementary change to his own body, in preparation for their waking reunion. But right now, he had to sleep. Having succeeded in what had seemed the impossible task of fixing Lisa's mind, he was finally able to sleep peacefully, free of worry, looking forward to the day to follow.
