"I didn't do anything," Ladybug lied. "She changed herself." Leksea looked at her doubtfully.
"Why would she do that?"
"I couldn't tell you," Ladybug said. "I can't read minds. All I can say is that she turned to a human of her own accord." Leksea pawed at the ground with her adorable little hoof. After a few moments, she nodded.
"Okay. I believe you," she whinnied softly. Ladybug sighed in relief. Of course Leksea believed her! Leksea was her foal. A foal would trust their mother. "But what are we going to do about Iris?"
"I think we shouldn't do anything," Ladybug said, watching the human stroke her large, pregnant belly. "We should just observe. She turned herself human for a reason, after all. Hopefully by watching her, we can determine what that reason was."
"I don't want to just do nothing," Leksea whined. Ladybug thought for a moment. Her ears pricked up as she had an idea.
"Oh! Perhaps we should redirect the herd to pass by a human settlement. They'll take her off our hands. Ah, hooves. As she is not in her right mind, she'll need someone to take care of her. A herd of horses cannot do that for her."
"Hmm. Okay." Leksea ducked underneath Ladybug. "Whatever you say, Mother." Ladybug felt a surge of happiness as her beloved filly suckled from her udder. Once they passed close enough to a settlement, someone would take Iris away, and Ladybug would no longer have to worry about her.
