A nearby woman laughs and says that "You'll make a nice pet" and picks you up by the scruff of your neck, and then takes you into a tent and you're not sure where you go from here, but she pets and rubs on you as if you are some kind of cat and it actually feels really good.
You find that your mind has been changed as well. You can't speak, and don't seem to have much in the way of higher reasoning. The woman feeds you cat food, and you feel compelled to eat it. It doesn't taste bad at all. She gives you cat milk and it's delicious!
“A fine little feline,” she muses, tilting her head as she studies you with a knowing smirk. “I wonder if you were hoping for this… or if the dice simply decided for you.”
The thought should unsettle you, but it doesn’t. Instead, you curl your tail around yourself, a purr already rising in your throat. Your memories feel distant—faded at the edges like an old dream. Were you human once? Did it even matter now?
She chuckles, stroking under your chin. “Oh, you’re going to be quite the content little thing, aren’t you?”
