William is a 28 year old college graduate living in a small studio apartment near the edge of a large city. He hoped he would be rich and successful at this point in his life but he found himself working at a nearby bookstore for minimum wage while he contently applied for better paying jobs. Two days ago, his best friend Cheryl gifted him the Medallion with the promise that it would improve his situation. She didn't explain exactly how it worked, but she suggested that Will wait and watch for a girl his type to try on some clothes at the nearby clothing store. If he held the Medallion to chose that girl tried on in the changing room, Cheryl promised William that something extra interesting would happen.
Will wasn't stoked by the idea of walking through a woman's clothing store with the intent of potentially stealing a cute girl's clothes, but Cheryl hadn't steed him wrong before.
After a few days of watching the nearby store from the cash register at the front of William's bookstore, he finally found a girl he was genuinely interested in. He told his boss we was going on break and he covertly snuck the girl's used clothes into his bag. Afraid that someone witnessed him pick up the clothes, William rushed into a nearby changing room and hid until he was sure he could leave unnoticed.
It was then that William realized that he didn't have a good reason to wait. He had both the Medallion and the girl's clothes in his possession. Without thinking, he held the two items together.
