At first, none of them could see anything. Believing whatever passed for their eyes must have failed, it took each of them a moment before their neo-vision returned and adjusted enough for them to see they were now in an open space. Shelves packed full of items lined the walls, whilst above the shelves were windows stretching upward to stop a foot or so below the ceiling. Lying on a padded foam in the middle of the room, it was Tanya, Diana, and Natalie, more used to making their plush forms move than the others, who forced themselves up first. Trying to find the mental link to everyone, initially they could only communicate amongst themselves.
But then, as the plush Hello Kitty sat up and the plush monkey shifted, then stood on two shaky legs, they managed to psychically link with Lucy's mind. Natalie wondering { why is it so easy for us to talk, to make the connection } it was Lucy who eventually volunteered { maybe it has something to do with us having known each other the longest }
This seeming to make the most sense, they began to collectively link their minds to the new members of their group. Felicity not the least concerned with establishing a link at the moment, was more concerned with her inability to walk properly. Trying over and over, it took her a bit before she was at last able to figure out how to get her front half moving. Dragging her back legs a couple steps, she was frustrated at how, no matter what she tried, she couldn't move her rear legs, but was able to twitch her thick tail. Becoming aware Lucy, Natalie, Tanya, and Diana were looking at her, it suddenly came to her there was supposed to be a way for them to talk amongst themselves.
For a moment, she couldn't even figure out how to establish the psychic link. Frightened she would be trapped for the next several hours in a body she couldn't even move properly, she wanted to scream, but was relieved when she at last heard Natalie's broken message { can...hear } { me }
Not sure how to reply, it was again through trial and error she managed to achieve, at first, to send her thoughts to the others. Thinking { I can barely understand you } Felicity was concerned it might not work, or would come off as disjointed as what she picked up from Natalie's attempt.
From where she sat, Jennifer watched the other girls as they figured out how to move, though, in the case of Felicity, it was more along the lines of dragging herself. Having already grasped the mechanics of how her plush body worked and what it took for her to make it do anything, Jennifer was content to remain where she was. Puzzling over what had been stated before about them being able to communicate psychically, she considered what had been troubling before being transformed into a Hello Kitty plush, and how it was still bothering her. Wondering if it had to be a group communication, or if it was possible to talk with only one person at a time, she focused on Felicity. Seeing it might be for the best to try and talk with the girl, as she felt there was a link already between, Jennifer tried to send to the plush dinosaur the thoughts { can you hear me }.
As Jennifer tried her experiments, and Felicity at last worked out not only how to coordinate herself so she could move all four of her legs, but also talk properly with four of the girls, Diana, certain the whole group could hear her, turned to Lucy and thought { okay, spill it } { why did you send us to what we can all now see is clearly a daycare }
