Felicity couldn't help but be bothered by what she was seeing. With each passing moment, more and more of her previous usage of the Chronivac left her, leaving her with confusing feelings and sensations she couldn't understand, let along describe. A number of times, things had seemed as if they'd happened before, but then the sensations passed as events played out different than how it seemed they would. Looking at the monkey who'd been Lucy, and would be her again in less than thirty minutes, Felicity muttered, "I'll pass at the moment. Something about this doesn't feel right."
Next to her, Jennifer also explained she didn't want do anything with the computer programme. For reasons she couldn't explain, she felt as if she had her fill of the Chronivac, even though she was sure she'd never seen, or used, it before. Listening to the two new girls and what they said, Lucy rasped out, "Are, you, sure," as she leapt to the desk chair, then, after wondering if she could, scampered up to perch on the back of it.
Both of them nodded in affirmation, and as Lucy, still getting used to being a monkey, though she still was uncomfortable with being male, as she kept shifting so her boy parts weren't on full display, glanced at the other three with a look clearly indicating, "How about you."
With a shrug, Natalie commented, "Why not. I'll give it a go," and stepping over to the computer, she pulled her profile.
Not questioning as to why it already was present, she began to going through the information. Seeing what was available and what wasn't, she decided, for starters, to leave her sex and gender as female. Not wanting to be a boy, happy with being a girl, she scrolled and clicked through the options. Finding the timer and the awareness option, she set the former at an hour and the latter so everyone in the room would be aware of her transformation. Next, she went back up and shifted her species to dragon. Seeing it switched a greyed-out box to being active, she went through the subspecies available and settled on fairy. Spotting a new option she could access, she thought about the animal mindset, and decided to make it eighty percent human, twenty percent beast. Going back through the information, she clicked and shifted a few things, and discovering an option to teleport her, she opted to have the programme send her to a mystical land where fairy dragons were common. Finishing, she saved what she'd inputted, but didn't initiate the change.
The moment she was done, and had looked at the others, Diana squealed, “My turn,” and stepped forward. Pulling up her profile, and like Natalie, not even asking why it already existed, she thought about what she wanted to try. Curious about Lucy's change, she wanted to see what life was like as an animal. About to enter it, she stopped and asked, "Any restrictions I should consider?"
"Try, not, to, get, too, out, of, hand, I, guess, like, making, yourself, someone, who, already, exists," Lucy offered, then added, "Maybe, set, a, timer, no, longer, than, half, hour, to, an, hour?"
"I gave myself an hour," Natalie offered upon hearing Lucy.
Settled, Diana turned back to the computer, searched for the information, located the timer, and after giving it some thought, also set it for an hour. Seeing the awareness option, she shifted it so it was everyone in the room who was aware of her change. Scrolling back up, leaving her sex and gender as female, thinking about animals she loved, she set her species as Feline. Greyed-out boxes becoming available, she searched through them, made herself a short hair with white fur, gave herself blue eyes, and after thinking about it, made herself a kitten of six-months. Feeling satisfied with the results, she shifted the animal mindset to seventy-seven human, twenty-three animal, made a few more adjustments to balance out everything, then hit save.
Tanya the last of the three to step forward, she at first didn't know what to become. Thinking, not really looking at the information in her profile, which, like her other friends, she didn't think it strange the Chronivac already had her information, she started with the species, left it alone, fiddled with the sex and gender, scrolled through the options for species, then considered adding something to herself, like wings, a horn or antenna, or a tail. Changing her mind, an idea coming to her, she clicked on a few things, and after a bit, had switched things so she was now a plush Dalmatian toy. Unaware how, in an alternative timeline, she'd made the same choice, she made it so she could still move, could psychically communicate, set it so her friends were aware of what she'd become, thought about it, then set the timer for one hour, and after making sure everything was as good as she could get it, his save.
Finished, Diana, Tanya, and Natalie looked at Lucy. There still being a little over fifteen minutes left on her transformation, each wondered if they ought to wait or start their own change. Lucy, as if understanding what they were thinking, rasped out, "Don't, wait, for, me. Go, right, ahead," and with it confirmed, the three looked at each other, then glanced at Felicity and Jennifer.
"Are you sure you shan't try?" Diana pleaded, to which Felicity replied, "Maybe later," in an uneasy tone as Jennifer shifted in a place and muttered, "I'm good."
The mattered settled, the three looked at each other, nodded, and one-by-one, clicked and initiated their transformations.
