At first, they didn’t notice them but then the receptionist came up to them pulling a highchair and followed by 2 1/2 people. The first two are the same age as them which means they were also from Jefferson high school. Thomas recognized Daniel Hudson, who he shares a class or two with and with him is his girlfriend Sumire Yamamoto the schools tennis star wearing a Japanese schoolgirl uniform.
“Daniel!” Thomas called out. However, Stephanie recognize Sumire as well but not as a fellow high schooler, but a fellow teacher who teaches social studies.
‘So Ms. Yamamoto got young as well.’ Stephanie thought as she smiled because she remembered that they both shared the fact that they have a crush on younger men. More specifically the students they room with on this trip although she was pretty sure that Ms. Yamamoto roomed with two students. It was then she noticed that Sumire was pushing a stroller with a toddler of three years old in it. She smiled at the idea that Ms. Yamamoto trick the second student into regressing into a toddler so she can have Daniel all to herself.
When the receptionist in the group got to their table, she placed the highchair at the end of the table close to Stephanie side. Sumire then unbuckled the toddler from the stroller. With the mighty lift she placed him in the highchair before she and Daniel decide to sit down. They sat down at Stephanie side of the table with Sumire sitting next to Stephanie and Daniel sitting next to Sumire. Thomas would admit that he felt lonely sitting by himself, but he didn’t mind as long as Stephanie was across from him.
“Your waitress will be by to get your drink orders and hopefully you’ll be able to order your food soon when more arrived.” Said the receptionist as she turn around to head back to the front desk. There was a silence until Daniel decide to break the ice.
“So Thomas, who’s your friend?” Daniel asked, but then Stephanie just started laughing soon followed by Thomas.
“Come on man don’t tell me you forgot about my girlfriend, Stephanie.” Answer Thomas, which confused Daniel even more. Sumire look like she was disappointed about something. This awkward response from them was enough to get Tom to stop laughing.
“Oh give him a break Tommy. He practically knew so many Stephanie‘s in his life.” Stephanie answered before she leaned forward to look to her side to look at Daniel directly. “It’s me, hon Stephanie Carter.”
This seemed to answered everyone’s question, but the reactions were odd to Tom. First of all, Daniel was confused, even more about the couple which Tom could can understand because him and Stephanie just started going out recently. Sumire looked at Stephanie as if she was judging her which confused even Tom. Before he can comment, the waitress had returned.
“Well cuties what do you want to order as drinks?” Ask the waitress. Daniel looked at Sumire and nodded.
“I’ll have a tea. This gentleman will have a Pepsi and the little one will have an orange juice in a sippy cup.” Sumire ordered. The waitress noted as she jotted down the orders and left. The awkwardness had returned.
‘Boy this is awkward could use a distraction.’ Thought Tom until a familiar foot rubbing his crotch again. He looked at Stephanie and gave her a dopey lovestruck expression. Well, he was distracted Sumire had whispered something to Daniel, who then looked underneath the table. When he came back up, he just nodded.
After an awkward minute, the receptionist brought the third and final group from Jefferson high school to the table.
