Amy felt spaced out. She chalked it up to the day’s events overwhelming her, and she let Lina drag her around. Suddenly, she found herself inside of one of her local hangouts - a sushi bar near campus.
“I figured this’d be a good spot. It always is when you’re feeling down.” Lina said, with a smile.
“Feeling down?” Amy asked. Her voice was scratchier than normal.
“Jesus, you sound like shit. Anyways, I mean about Maxwell.” Lina said, looking serious.
“I’m not still thinking about—“ Amy started.
“I know you are. It’s written all over your face. Don’t lie to me.” Lina said, sternly.
“Ugh, fine. Yeah, I’m still upset. But… weirdly, something in that store. It calmed me down. I don’t know how to describ-AAHHH CHOO!” Amy said, sneezing in the middle of her sentence.
Although she tried to cover her nose, she just barely missed it - instead sending her infected mist straight up, causing it to enter the sushi bar’s fans and having it rain down on every unsuspecting patron - including Lina.
“Oh geez, Amy. I knew you weren’t feeling well. Let me get you a tissue.” Lina started.
“No! No, it’s… it’s okay. I’m just gonna run to the bathroom. Order my usual for me, will ya?” Amy said, feeling a bit lightheaded as she stood up.
“Two California rolls and a shrimp tempura roll. You got it. Oh, and I’ll get you some tea and a miso soup.” Lina said.
“Thanks, Lina.” Amy said, getting up to go to the bathroom.

Scrubbing her hands clean, Amy suddenly caught notice of something in the corner of her eye.
Her face. She didn’t remember putting makeup on, but she very clearly had some basic lipstick, eyeliner, and mascara on. It was her normal look, to be fair, but she couldn’t remember doing it earlier. In addition, her face was flush red, and she’d started sweating a bit - she must’ve had a fever.
“It’s probably just my imagination. I must’ve done it before we left.” She said, shaking her head. Finally satisfied with how clean her hands were, she left and walked backed to her table.
