The old man took a seat and explained Joel his tasks. "You're going to live here, so you're going to work from morning to night. You'll wake up at 4 am and you'll prepare my bath, then you'll make breakfast." The old man pointed at an open door where the kitchen could be seen. "Then, you'll clean the dust from the shelves and you'll reorganize the new products."
Joel looked at the boxes, they looked so big and heavy but they weren't a problem for his newly got strength. However, he wasn't pleased of doing a lot of work there. The old man kept talking. "At noon you will work at store. Helping customers, collecting payments and luring people into the store." Joel don't have any idea of how to do any of that stuff. "Don't worry, you'll learn."
"Finally, at dusk. You'll make dinner, prepare another bath for me and then you'll help me to create new ointments." The old man told Joel with a little grin visible through his long white beard. "Don't think I'm going to teach you my secrets. No, no. You're just going to be my assistant and test subject. Understood?" Joel sighed and nodded. He already knew the old man's magic abilities and he didn't want to bother him again.
"Fine. It already getting late. So, it's better you start making dinner and preparing my bath." The old man stood up and left the room through a small down at the back. "I like my water to be warm, not hot. And use some of the fragrance oils I have in the bathroom." The old man shouted. "And for the dinner, eggs would be fine." Joel replied with an ok, he still wasn't used to his new baritone voice.
