"This is one is particularly cute." The woman said while she approached Johnny. "Indeed, your highness. It's much younger than the others. I'd heard them saying he hasn't reached puberty which is how humans told their maturing process into adulthood." The gargoyle replied without making any move like the loyal guard he is.
"Puberty, huh?" The woman smiled while she took a big jar from her basket. "Normally I would carve the stone to polish and find perfection, but that reduces the body." She opened the jar and revealed it's content to the gargoyle. A gray substance that looks like molding clay but made of stone. "It would be fun to do something different for once."
She started applying the clay on Johnny until he was completely covered from head to toes. It looked like a giant cocoon made of stone. "I apologize for what I'm about to say, your highness. But that seems like a complicated task." The gargoyle said with some concern in his voice. "My spell fades away at dawn when the first sunbeams would hit their skins."
"Don't worry, my dear." The woman replied while she took her sculpting tools from her basket. "I know exactly what I'm going to do. I'll be so fast that I'll be done way before that!" She happily said as she started carving on the mass of clay-stone that Johnny has become. "They won't even see me around here!" The gargoyle simply smiled.
They stopped talking after that. The gargoyle stayed still like a real statue while the woman worked untiringly carving and modeling the clay mass on Johnny. Sometimes she paused shortly to admire her progress or to take quick decisions on what she is going to do. It seems like she was enjoying it so much that she was occasionally singing like a fairy tale princess.
Meanwhile, inside the cocoon, Johnny was in panic. He can't see nor hear a thing, he felt trapped inside a nothingness that was more terrifying than darkness itself. Sometimes he even consider he's dead and he's at hell right now. For Mike and Sei, the sight wasn't very good either, with their eyes stuck to the front, they just barely can see what's going on.
Hours passed by and the woman kept sculpting until the sun started to rise. It was harder than she expected and she wasn't done yet. She was worried that she won't finish in time. "I can't carve on flesh!" She told herself to hurry up. "Maybe I just should let him be like this. Is not that bad." She thought. "And it's definitely an improvement for him."
