I stuttered out my answer, "N-no one really, my name is Mili. I work at BlueSea, it's uh insurance firm." I blinked several times as Arval didn't give a response, instead disappearing into the darkness with a giggle that echoed throughout the night.
I stood up and made a dash back to my house, I was so scared out of my mind. Thankfully I only lived a few blocks from the park. Dashing inside I slumped down on the couch, rubbing my eyes. Did I really just see what I thought I did? A specter? A ghost? A demon?
I held up the book as my thoughts ran wild. "Well, I'd better test it I guess." I shrugged to myself. Sitting up I grabbed a pencil from my computer desk as I pondered something to write. "Something to test the waters with..." I muttered.
I scribbled into the book. "I am six foot three." I expected a surge, a feeling of growth or something...instead I didn't feel any different at all. "Huh, I guess it doesn't work after all." I looked down at what I had written. "Why would I have written my height?" I tried to think, I'd always been six foot three, all my friends used to tease me about being so tall.
I did remember I was supposed to be testing this book I erased the line, my memories disappearing as well as my height. "Wait...did I just?" I felt confused, something had definitely changed, but I didn't feel any difference. I looked back to the page. "I suddenly gain 50 pounds."
I instantly grabbed my stomach as I felt a sharp pain, as if my stomach was going to explode, I looked down as I could see my waist bellowing out with with breath, my thighs grew thicker as I could feel my clothing grow more tighter. Sure enough in a instant I was much fatter. "No way..."
I hastily erased the line, my body shrinking back to its original size and my clothes fixing themselves. "So I only remember things if they happen immediately or I guess if I write that I remember them, interesting."
I giggled to myself, I could have a lot of fun with this, everything I could have dreamed was mine to write. I pondered what to write next, not noticing Arval watching me from the corner of my shoulder with a grin equal to my own.
