They were only a block from the bar when Jennifer stopped in her tracks.
A sharp, sudden pressure pulsed low in her belly—deep, urgent, and wrong. She clutched the underside of her bump instinctively, breath catching as her thighs pressed together.
“Jen?” Maya asked, stepping closer. “What is it?”
Jennifer didn’t respond at first. Her eyes widened, and she took a shaky half-step forward—then froze again.
“I think… oh god,” she whispered, voice cracking.
Warmth flooded downward, faster than she could stop it. Her leggings darkened between her legs as liquid poured out, soaking the fabric and splashing onto the pavement. She gasped, mortified, as people nearby turned to look. A couple of passersby slowed, curious. One woman whispered something to her friend.
“I—I couldn’t hold it,” Jennifer stammered, blinking fast. “I didn’t even have to go—”
Her legs trembled, the pressure still lingering, the weight of her body now more unbearable than ever. The warmth clung to her inner thighs, the fabric wet and sticking to her skin.
Maya moved without hesitation, slipping her arm around Jennifer’s back, holding her upright.
“Hey. It’s okay. Keep moving,” she said, voice low and firm. “Don’t stop. We’re almost there.”
Jennifer’s face burned as they kept walking—her pace a slow, uneven waddle now worsened by the wetness between her legs. Her breath hitched with every step. Her body wasn’t just transforming anymore. It was betraying her.
Maya gripped her tighter. “We find her. Today. No more waiting.”
Jennifer nodded, eyes forward, teeth clenched.
She was out of time.
