Now that you actually don't have to worry about distorting Roy's data - which you actually couldn't care much less about if not for the fact that he's actually researching whatever the heck happened to you yesterday that changed how you react to transformation effects in general - you finally can go and check out the rest of the carnival again without having to look out for anything that could cause you to change shape, or at least cause you to absorb and negate such an effect.
You already have a destination in mind too - the concert the group of mouse-people were talking about earlier - so you head towards where you saw the new stage earlier today, since you figure that's probably where the concert will be.
It doesn't take long for you to confirm your suspicions - as you draw closer, you hear someone talk in an obvious MC voice, followed by short, improvised fanfares - apparently someone is introducing the band members.
You'd hurry to make it in time, but you can already see the audience area from here, and while there already is a large crowd of people - mostly mice - it is still open to everyone, and nobody seems to stop the audience from coming or leaving as they please, so you quickly join them, and try to make your way through the crowd to where you can actually see something - something your recent reduction in size makes a bit trickier than you're used to.
Just about when the band starts to play, you finally get to a spot with less people, and finally get a look at the band that's playing.
You've already expected it, but they too are all mice people, but unlike the ones in the audience, the four mice on stage are huge - not only are they easily larger than the audience, they're also pretty well-muscled, and while you can't see too many details under their fur, they definitely are showing off their physique, wearing no shirts under their sleeveless leather jackets.
Generally, they seem to have taken some heavy cues from rock stars of the past, specifically the ones that were big on leather jackets, unnecessary sunglasses and biker-esque outfits in general - their band consists of a standard rock lineup with two electric guitars, a drum kit and a vocalist, and the lead guitar even is one of those arrow-shaped ones that were popular a while ago.
Their music is pretty good though - you don't really recognize the song they're playing right now, especially with the crowd still cheering them on too, but it's definitely catchy, and you find yourself unconsciously swaying and moving to the rhythm before too long - as do most people around you, actually.
For a while, you lose yourself to the rhythm, but as the tunes veer more towards heavy metal, you notice the people around you getting a bit antsy, and you realize why the crowd wasn't as tightly packed here - you've wandered into the beginning of a mosh pit!
The people around you start running and jumping at each other, and while you definitely could take a few more collisions than what one might expect from someone your stature, you didn't sign up for this, and make your way to the border of the pit.
Aside from the odd person purposefully bumping into your back, this works pretty well, and you're now safely back in the regular crowd, looking at the chaos you left behind.
As you watch for a bit, you notice that for all the roughhousing that's going on, nobody is actually trying to hurt someone - in fact, when two people collide in a way that seems painful - mostly when their heads make contact - they usually pause for a few seconds and check if the other person is okay, and the one time someone actually trips, they get helped up just as quickly as they fell over.
You vaguely recall that that's how things are supposed to go in mosh pits, but reading it on the internet, and seeing it in action are two very different things.
You do manage to spot something you definitely haven't read about too though, because as you watch the crowd bump into each other, you notice that they look a bit taller and more muscular than when you were still in there.
At first, you're not quite sure whether that's just because everyone smaller and weaker got tired first and left, but then you spot the same person that tripped earlier, and they definitely weren't that well-proportioned before - also, you're pretty sure they didn't have a tail either!
Looking around you, you see a lot more people sporting animal features as well, but even if you look for it, you don't feel the tell-tale tingling feeling you usually have when you're exposed to a source of transformation - either it's very gradual, or it doesn't affect everyone the same, whether it's random or because you're already a furry fox-girl anyway.
