Janet and Bruce were halfway to Sam’s house before the 12 hours since the morning change ticked over. At their old house, they had hurriedly filled Jordan’s car with valuables and items of sentimental value. Neither of them had wanted to be approached by neighbours or friends whilst they occupied the bodies of Sam and Jordan. It would have been hard to explain why they were loading Janet’s jewellery, had they been caught. Fortunately, they were not approached
Bruce noticed the 12 hours were up by looking at the vintage Rolex wristwatch on her arm. It had been an inheritance from Janet’s mother and one of the sentimental items Janet had wanted to keep. Bruce was wearing the watch on Janet’s insistence. It made sense as she was now the one with the dainty wrists. Bruce was also wearing the diamond and gold earrings she had gifted Janet on their 30th wedding anniversary. Janet had wanted to see what they looked like on Jordan’s body. Bruce was in a hurry to depart their old home so had not put up an argument.
Bruce informed Janet “12 hours are up. Should we stop and use the medallion to switch bodies?”
Janet was driving. He replied “I think it best we wait until we are at our new house, we will be there in an hour and it would be risky to change at a roadside stop” He didn’t add that he was contemplating remaining as ‘Sam’. He was enjoying being an alpha male.
“As usual you make sense Janet” Bruce conceded. “We should be there in less than an hour. I can wait. But you might have to find me a toilet stop. My bladder isn’t what it used to be and I think I’m leaking”
Indeed Bruce was now regretting that they had enjoyed an ‘Quickie’ on their marital bed just before leaving. Janet had insisted and the sight of his erect penis had been enough to make Bruce concede. She had to admit that her current body enjoyed sex. She had a brief shower afterwards, as Janet finished packing, but evidently that had not been enough to dislodge the fluids Janet had inseminated her with.
Janet pulled over at the next truck stop. Bruce went to the ladies to do whatever she needed to do, while Janet enjoyed a visit to a urinal. They bought some burgers whilst there.
They arrived at the address on Sam’s drivers license and were relieved to see no lights on in the low set house, Janet just hoped that Sam lived alone. She also hoped that one of the keys she had found in Sam’s suitcase fitted the front door and that there was no alarm.
Tentatively they parked in the driveway and walked towards the front door. A light switched on automatically as they approached. Immediately a dog began to bark making Janet hesitate. Then the light of the next door house switched on. Janet stood there like a deer in headlights as a man came out of the neighbours. “Hello? Who’s there?”
