Jared sat up most of the night,"Tried to think of some excuse for being gone a week, think Jared Angus think!"
Then a dangerous thought, "I'll ask the buckle to offer a suggestion!"
As he laid on his bed naked with bull's balls hanging over one thigh and still remembering the pain of branding he raised the buckle high above his chest. "Buckle, by your thought give me a good excuse for not being here the week I was a bull." Nothing, no glow, no Hmmming power, nothing.
Standing up he looked at his reflection in the mirror while holding the silver buckle in his left hand. He stared into the mirror and then he saw it. In the mirror he saw his pile of comic books. Maybe in his collection a excuse could be discovered.
Jared paged hurriedly threw a dozen till he came on 'The Centros Herd'
He opened and started to remember the story of a young man falling out of a boat and taken to a madd doctor who changes him into a horse. Now if he could suggest such a story to the buckle and arange it as himself and being a bull, then he'd have a fine excuse.
Unfortunate for Jared he did not reread the total story before he offered it to the silver medallion buckle.
"Buckle hear me and do this story from this book as my excuse for not being here last week. Change my memories and give me what I need to make an intellegent excuse. Please let's start right now."
