Madhu was a village boy who had spent the last few years studying in a nearby town. He had worked hard to earn his degree and was excited to return home. As he stepped off the bus, he felt the familiar warmth of his village. He walked to the bus stand, where he spotted Bhanu, his childhood friend, waiting eagerly for him.
“Madhu! You’re back! ” Bhanu exclaimed, his face lighting up with a big smile. The two friends hugged tightly, sharing stories of their time apart. Bhanu was happy to see Madhu again, as they had shared many childhood adventures together.
“Come on, let’s go to the riverbank to celebrate your return,” Bhanu suggested. They made their way to the river, a place filled with memories of laughter and fun from their childhood. The sun was setting, casting a beautiful orange glow over the water.
As they settled down on the grass with some drinks, Bhanu looked at his friend with curiosity. “So, have you met anyone special while studying? ” he asked. Madhu hesitated, then smiled shyly. “Well, I have a crush on someone back here,” he confessed.
“Who is it? ” Bhanu asked eagerly. “It’s Krishnavenni,” Madhu admitted. He spoke softly, his face flushing. “But the problem is, she is getting married soon to someone else,” he added with a sigh.
Bhanu frowned. “That’s tough, Madhu. I know how much you like her. ” The two friends sat in silence for a moment, letting the weight of Madhu’s words sink in.
Suddenly, they noticed something strange by the riverbank. A shadow, unlike anything they had seen before, moved along the water’s edge. It was hard to tell if it was just their imagination, but it looked like a figure wrapped in mist.
“What is that? ” Bhanu whispered, fear and curiosity prickling in the air. Madhu felt his heart race. “I don’t know, but we should go check it out,” he said, wanting to discover what it was.
As they approached the figure, it seemed to shimmer and change shape, almost as if it were dancing with the water. It looked at them with wide, glowing eyes. They stood frozen, torn between fear and awe. The entity slowly raised a hand, beckoning them closer.
