I shut the book closed, the wisp around me fading away, for now.
I yawned, I was tired after tonight and besides, any changes would be better with others to watch I figured. I retreated to my room and crashed out on the bed, the book remained close as I fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning with a bang, my roommate had rolled off onto the floor and laid there half sprawled across the floor and bed. The dork was still asleep somehow.
It wasn't the first time this had happened, Max was always a restless sleeper, after a week I kinda just got used to it. I rolled out of bed, being careful not to wake him up. I threw on some plain clothes as I got ready for my morning class until I noticed it.
The book, resting conspicuously on my bed where the covers had revealed it again, it felt like a dream last night, but I suddenly remembered it vividly as I walked back to the bound tome. I carefully picked up the book, flipping open the first page, still blank, begging to have it's parchment filled with ideas.
Max snorted as a line of drool escaped the corner of his mouth, slowly snailing it's way down, or rather up his cheek as his head was still halfway down the bed.
I raised an eyebrow as I picked up a pencil from my desk, my gaze still watching my roommate as I wrote something down to test the book yet again.
"Max is my dorm roommate, she still acts like a total klutz." My face grew in curiosity as I wondered what the book would do. After but a moment I saw Max's body begin to change, his bare chest began to thin out and compress, his boxers shrinking to become boyshorts, the bulge I had previously tried to keep my eyes away from out of respect notably disappeared at the same time as her chest grew fat with breasts, all too apparent as Max remained shirtless. Her pert nipples standing at attention from the cool morning air. Any awkwardness I began to feel melted away as fast as it formed, my memories changing to have always had my friend Max be a women. Her face smoothening out as her hair flowed outwards completing the look.
I shook my head, it wasn't the first time she had fallen out of bed, and despite me always asking her to put on a shirt while she slept she never did. I rolled my eyes, picking up the book as I slipped it into my bag, waking out the door as Max continued to drool as she snored on.
