It began when I made her clothes disappear

Power Demonstrated

I asked her to sit down next to me on the bed. She did so very cautiously, as if she was afraid of me. I knew this was going to be tough. I also knew that I had to convince her. I didn't to simply wish she would believe me, as I felt that would be the easy way out.

I took a deep breath and explained to her how I got the ring and how I made that random woman's clothes disappear. I left out a bit of detail and said that I wished for the breasts to see just what the ring could do. I did not mention I had my own curiosity that I wanted to explore.

After finishing the story and also explaining that I wished her here, she said, "OK, that all seems unlikely, but I don't know why else I'm here and you have those. Unless I'm just dreaming, that is."

With that I reached over to her very quickly and pinched her arm. "Ow!" she exclaimed while shifting a bit further away from me. "Why did you--," she stopped herself mid-sentence before she continued. "Oh, well, I guess I'm not dreaming," she said.

"No, you're not," I said. "This is all extremely real."

Her eyes started to soften a bit and it seemed that I had possibly convinced her. She shifted back to her original position on the bed. "I'm afraid I'm going to need you to prove a bit more to me before I can really believe this, Joe," she stated. "I mean, this is all extremely far-fetched."

"OK," I said. "I wouldn't believe it if I was you either. Let's see," I mused. I wanted to do just something simple. "I wish I had a $100 bill in my hand," I said. As soon as I stuck my right hand out in the air, the bill appeared.

Her eyes went wide and she quickly snatched the bill away from me. She looked up and down the bill very quickly. It appeared that she was looking for all of the markings that would prove it was real legal currency. "Well, it looks authentic," she said. However, the look on her face turned from one of awe to one of disbelief. "But this could be fake," she continued. "I can't tell a counterfeit from a real bill. Maybe the ring is some kind of evil ring and that it appears to do what you ask, but in a Monkey's Paw kind of way."

With that I silently wished that she would stand up. She promptly did so. Her eyes went wide again and she blurted out, "I didn't stand up." I then wished she would sit back down. After she did, she exclaimed, "I didn't do that either!"

I grinned at her devilishly. "I know," I smiled. "I thought that would be easy enough to prove to you."

"But you didn't say anything!" she protested.

"I know," I said. "That was the first time I didn't say one of my wished aloud. I wanted to see if it would still work if I just thought a wish. And it does from what I can tell."

"Wow," Becky said. The expression on her face had now turned to one of quiet reservation. "I guess this ring really does work," she said. She looked back at the $100 bill and then back at me. "So what are you going to do with this incredible little gift you have?" she asked.
