The April Issue of Animalia Magazine was a little late in arriving, but that was because it was the preview of the upcoming 2025 IAC.
---
The first article focused on the overall theme of the IAC this year: Hide and Ranni's dreams are finally coming true, but the Celestial Court (a catch-all phrase for the gods of Shintoism and Bhuddism) are suspicious of both Hide (due to him being directly related to Otakemaru) and Ranni (due to being a goddess from another world entirely) and greet both of them politely, but coldly. To show them that he meant no ill will, he showed them both the Aun Stone and the artifact that transported him to the Lands Between. Also, he used the Aun Stone to summon Goldmask (and his scribe/translator Brother Coryhn). After studying both artifacts, and discussing/debating with Goldmask, the Court decided to allow Hide to marry Ranni, but a chance event (that would happen during the IAC Opening Ceremony) would turn everyone's plans upside down.

There was also a list of the events that would be taking place, as well as where, when, and why (in some cases). For example, the reason why a Rennaissance Faire (taking place at Renardville) would have Japanese Samurai alongside European Knights was because the only thing separating the two warrior classes was the amount of distance between their lands. Even the time periods of Feudal Japan and Medieval Europe were the same (late 12th century to early 17th century). This also helped dispel some of the notion that the reason was because of Miss Juliet's doppelganger.

There was also a reminder that the April 30th was the final deadline for anyone who wanted to take part in the sporting events at the IAC. However, the newest members of Animalia (that is, those who were converted or uplifted after February) weren't able to compete.
