As he jumped, Damon made for taller and taller grasses. This got him further away from roads and the inherent cars, which was a good thing for a simple toad like he now was. At present Damon had only one thing on his mind: a nice humid place. Preferably with a nice cool surface of mud. Or slime. With some algae and tall reeds. Damon went through all sorts of depictions of marshes he had from his past human life and each he found more attractive than the last. Oh, if only he could find a sweet place like that! It held the glamour of of a luxury hotel to him! Determined to find such a jewel in lodgings, he hopped on, expecting to discover a pond that would be like heaven. If he followed any sign of increased humidity, he was bound to jump straight into such a muddy bliss. Yes, once he was there, he'd happily splash into slime and mud, finding a great shallow puddle where he's settle comfortably and croak for hours on end. The simple idea of having mud seep into the entirety of his warty skin filled his tiny heart with joy. Yes, he had warts on his skin now. So what? It would be his size and the power of his large croaks that would attract females now. In fact, perhaps a few MORE warts might boost his batrachian sex appeal!
Boosted by all the promises a nice big pond held, Damon jumped even more swiftly, impatient to find a new home. Oh, any pond would do! It would be so comfy! Elated by these thoughts, he leapt across tall grasses. Soon, he'd find his muddy heaven.
