Lisa, now a common mouse, remained nearly motionless on Ty's bed. Only her whiskers twitched. Ty approached her, reaching out a hand toward her, and she suddenly bolted. She jumped off the bed, and disappeared from sight. "Lisa?" Ty called. She didn't answer, but of course Ty hadn't expected her to speak. Mice don't do that, except in cartoons. He assumed that in her tiny form, his approach had frightened her, and had hoped that hearing his voice would calm her. He looked around the room, but didn't see her.
"Lisa, it's Ty. Come on out. I won't hurt you." He didn't hear any motion, so he started searching the room. She wasn't out the open, but if she was scared, she wouldn't be. He looked under his bed, but couldn't see anything. He conjured up a flashlight, and then he saw dust bunnies, but no mouse.
"Lisa, honey, where are you hiding? Come on out, please!" Still he heard no motion. He looked under his desk, with the flashlight, and then he saw and heard a burst of motion. He didn't get a good view of her, but she darted out, and through the portal doorway, out of his bedroom and into her own.
"Great," Ty groaned. He walked through the portal, and closed the door behind him.
