"Since when do you have freckles? Like, a lot of them?" Lina asked.
"Since when did your front teeth grow that big?" Amy rebuked.
They both looked into Lina's vanity mirror. Sure enough, they were both right. Amy was shocked to find a large crop of freckles pockmarking her cheeks, and Lina shrieked as she opened her mouth to find her top and bottom two front teeth were distinctly longer than the others.
"This isn't right," Amy said, confused.
"Of course it isn't right!" Lina shouted with a hand over her mouth, sounding rightly muffled. "Something happened to us in that store! I knew it was a bad idea to go in there!"
Amy stared at her reflection, noticing something else. Her face had a slightly younger complexion to go along with the freckles. She stood up, and confirmed her suspicions by discovering her clothes were slightly baggier than they were before. "Lina...," she stammered. "I think...I'm getting younger.
"You think you've got problems?" Lina removed her hand from her mouth, revealing even larger teeth than before. "At least you don't need an orthodontist!"
"Something's happening to us, and I think it's these things," Amy held up her panpipes. "They're changing us."
"Oh shit," Lina said. She wasn't responding to Amy's theory, however, she was staring at her hands. The backs of them were covered in a fine dashing of gray hair. "What is going on?"
"I think we need to get back to that store," Amy said, her voice cracking. She was starting to itch all down her legs, but didn't dare take off her pants to find out what was causing it. "And we've got to go quickly."
