Amy found herself in the cosmetics aisle. She looked at a variety of makeup and lipstick and eyeshadow in colors she'd never even heard of.
She found hundreds of different kinds of hair spray, and pulled one out with a bright orange cap. The label read "Mane Attraction."
"Sounds like this could be interesting," she thought. Her limp brown hair never seemed to go over well with dates, and any change would probably be for the better. She wanted to ask the store owner if she could test it out, but she didn't want to wake him. "It's only a little spritz, it won't matter," she thought to herself. She closed her eyes and held her breath as the cloud of mist settled on her head. She capped the bottle and ran her fingers through her hair. A small mirror was set up atop the lipstick shelf. She examined her reflection for changes.
Slowly her hair brightened into a firey red-orange. The color change started at the roots and spread down her foot of hair. Then she watched it get bigger. As she continued to rake her fingers through the strands, her hair felt fuller and silkier. Eventually it had grown so large she could completely cover up her hand with it.
It was growing longer, too. She felt it creep down her back, itching ferociously. As she scratched, she felt more hairs growing on her neck. Feeling underneath her shirt, she realized the hair was also growing down her upper back.
Amy began to panic, wondering what else was going to happen. For an instant she feared her hair would never stop growing and smother her. She saw it grow in front of her ears and on her cheeks. It covered the front of her neck as well, spreading down between her breasts.
When it finally stopped, Amy had a large, thick lion's mane. Its red-orange color was radiant and its locks were smooth and straight. It was a mantle to be proud of.
"Oh, this is awesome," she cried gleefully as she ran her hands once more through the bushy strands. "Lina! Where are you? Come check this out!"
