Amy found an aisle that looked half goth apparel and half animal accessories. She thought it was an odd combination, but she liked the look of some of the wardrobe. In the middle, where both sections of the aisle met, she found an interesting-looking collar. It was thick black leather with silver studs and a long leash attached to it. Amy liked the look of it, and had been thinking about getting a collar for some time.
She found Lina, and showed it to her. "Looks nice," she said. "If you could find a way to cut off the leash I think that would be a pretty cool accessory. Just don't wear it in front of your parents."
They giggled and Amy paid for the collar at the counter. The old man smiled and bid them a good day.
Outside, Amy tried to separate the leash from it, but they were pretty much permanently connected by a silver ring, which both the collar and leash were sewn into. Lina said she might have scissors strong enough to cut the leash off, but Amy was too excited to wait until they got to her house. She just had to try it on.
The buckle seemed too complicated for Amy to work it herself, especially considering she'd have to attach it in the back. "Can you help me put this on?" she asked her friend.
"Sure," Lina took the leather in her hands and strapped it around her neck. She fastened the clasp and stepped back a few paces to examine how it looked. Aside from being a tad too big for her little neck, it seemed just fine. The leash dangled from the front of it all the way down to the ground, and then some. "You look like a freaky S&M pet with that leash on. Let's not use this thing until we get that off."
