Jane casually wandered over to Sophia, pretending to want to hug her leg, and snuck her tiny hand into Sophia's pocket. Her fingers closed around the phone, and she quickly palmed it, trying not to draw attention. Sophia didn't notice a thing, busy greeting Mr. Thomson and helping the other children into their coats.
Jane's heart was racing as she hid the phone behind her back. She waited until Sophia was distracted, then made a beeline for a quiet corner of the room. She opened the phone and frantically searched for the app. When it loaded, she generated a sentence, but her eyes widened in horror as she realized she couldn't read the words properly. In an instant, Sophia felt herself changing. She shrunk down, her clothes morphing into a onesie version of the daycare uniform, complete with a pacifier attached and a diaper underneath. Before she could even process what was happening, she heard footsteps approaching. Panicked, Sophia hid the phone under a nearby bookcase. A female employee scooped her up, cradling her in her arms, and carried Sophia to the baby section of the daycare. The employee placed her on a soft mat surrounded by other baby girls, all babbling and playing with toys.
As the employee walked away, Sophia started crawling around the room, her mind whirling with thoughts of what she could do next.
