The four girls rolled their eyes and cast glamor spells on themselves to cover up their true forms in illusions of their past human selves. At least, half way in Alisariah’s case. While her human form masked out her more voluptuous figure, she kept her pointy ears and revealing two piece robe, albeit with a more deliberately homemade aesthetic.
“I have to come clean, my character’s totally a shameless little self-insert, so I’ll be ‘cosplaying’ her session one.”
“Maggie will love that.” Tarravel said with a smirk.
One by one, the three other players funneled in. Tarravel had taken her seat behind the screen, eyes just barely peaking over the blinds owing to her human form’s short stature.
“Come on in, take a seat, get comfy!” Alisariah said as she opened up her apartment door for her college friends.
“Damn Alice, you made this yourself?” John would ask, clearly impressed.
“Where’d you get the ears, they look like movie quality!” Maggie added. She almost reached up to touch them, but thought better of it.
Troy went over to sit next to Tarravel, before turning his attention to Kenzia and Maraya. “Oh, I didn’t you brought some new players, nice to meet y’a!”
“It was Alice’s idea actually, this is Kenzie and Mary, they’re her roommates from upstairs. They heard about the game and wanted to try it!” Tarravel would claim.
“We hope we don’t make too much of an embarrassment.” Mary would say with faux bashfulness.
“Oh don’t sweat it, we’re super chill here. Except Maggie of course.” John would chide.
“Heard that!” She’d shout back from the pantry where she was helping get the snacks out. “Hey Alice, did you make these salads and the little hand pie things yourself?”
“It was Kenzie and Mary actually, they wanted to make something special for game one.” She’d answer.
“This is gonna be sick, I can feel it.” Troy kissed his dice and took a first roll on his d20. “18! We take those.”
“Speaking of game one, we’re going to be doing something special. Since we’ve got three rooms in here and it’s way roomier than the club room, we’ll do a different opener. You’re all on your way to the little elven town of Tol Leymilar, but the town sits on a crossroads, and your characters are approaching in three directions. We’re going to split off in groups of two, and you’ll each have a secret encounter on your way to the village. Alice you’ll be teamed up with Troy, Kenzie and Maggie you’re group two, and John and Mary are group three. It won’t take long, should only be a ten minute scene for each of you.” She passed a handout of art (enchanted, courtesy of Alisariah) depicting a natural vista on the way to the town. There’s a description of what you see on the way. Go ahead and split up gang! I’ll see you all shortly.”
