Water suddenly burst from between Jane's legs. Her mother dropped the glass of water in shock.
"Oh my gosh, you need to go to the hospital!" she gasped. Still dazed and disoriented from getting heavily pregnant in seconds, Jane didn't register what was going on. Everything happened around her in a whirl. Her parents rushed her to the expensive, private hospital, where she was given her own room. Thankfully, she remembered to grab her phone in the chaos.
The doctor checked her cervix and declared that she would be ready to push soon. Jane turned to her parents with a smile.
"Dad, could you get me some ice chips? And Mom, call my boyfriend." Her parents agreed and rushed out of the room. Jane took a deep breath and pulled up the app on her phone.
"Jane is going to have a painful labor." No, she won't! Jane changed "painful" to "painless". The contractions she'd been having suddenly stopped hurting, instead just feeling a bit weird. Jane generated another sentence.
"Jane's septuplet birth will be hard." Again, no, it won't. Jane changed "hard" to "easy" and settled back, ready to give birth. She definitely needed this weight out and off her. Her parents returned, giving her the ice and telling her that her boyfriend, Brad, was on his way, but out of state and probably wouldn't make it in time.
Jane nodded, then discreetly sped things up, changing "Jane will give birth in three hours" to "Jane will give birth in three minutes". If he wasn't going to make it, might as well get it over with.
Soon, the doctor was back, along with some nurses and an army of baby cribs.
"Push, Jane!" the doctor instructed. Jane's parents watched, proud, as their teenage daughter gave birth to a record seven identical babies. All girls. Sophia rubbed her baby bump.
"I hope these quintuplets come out as quick and easy as your seven girls did," she said to Jane, who just smiled. Her mother was pretty great, so, sure, when the time came, she'd make sure Sophia didn't run into any issues.
"What are you going to name them?" the doctor asked. Jane shrugged.
"I'll wait until Brad gets here. He should be involved in that," she said. One of the nurses handed her the first baby girl. Jane looked down at her daughter. The baby was objectively good-looking, with a button nose, a full head of blonde hair, and dark green eyes. Jane smiled. She wanted to go into modeling, and it looked like she could get her daughters into it as well, right away.
After a few hours, there was a commotion in the hallway. A teenage boy Jane's age ran in. To Jane's delight, he was gorgeous. Blond hair, piercing green eyes, a well-defined jaw, and muscular. Yes, her girls would definitely get work as models.
"Jane!" Brad said, rushing to her side. He leaned over and kissed her. Surprisingly, Jane liked it. "I'm sorry I missed it," he said quietly once they broke apart.
"It's okay," Jane said sweetly. "You're here now, and that's what matters." Brad smiled at her. "But, um, please remind me why you were out of state."
