As the girls walked to the front of the store, where Amy hoped to find a customer service person to complain about what had happened to her, they were met by the old man they saw when they came in.
"Ah, I thought there were a few people still in here," he said.
"Um, listen," Amy began. "I spilled some ink on me, and it turned me into this zebra thing. Can you help me out?"
"It sounds to me like you already have been helped," the man said.
"Huh? No, I mean can you get me back to normal?"
"Of course, of course," he sighed. "But later. We're closing for the day and you must get going." He began ushering them out the front door.
"Wait! You can't do this! One of your products changed me into a zebra!" Amy's protests went unheeded, as the old man successfully shoved them out the door.
"If you truly want to change back, we'll be open. For now, have a good evening." He shut the door and Amy heard the lock click. It still didn't stop her from nearly wrenching off the handle, though.
"Would you stop already?" Lina said. "I don't know what's gotten into you, but I have to get home."
Amy finally relaxed her grip on the door and began to follow her friend down the street. She cast one last glance back at the store, but gasped when all she saw was an empty alleyway. "Uh...Lina. The store just disappeared."
"What store?" Lina asked, sounding very annoyed at Amy's "crazy" attitude.
Amy threw her zebra-striped arms up in the air, completely fed up with the situation. Now her friend didn't even remember the store? This was insanity. Still, there was obviously nothing she could do about it at this point. As she walked with Lina, she desperately hoped the store would reappear the next day...and she also hoped the rest of the world was put under the same ignorance spell as Lina, or she'd have some serious problems when she got home.
