Jennifer decided on her game plan, it was rather simple really, a few choice lies to see what the curse considered truth or not. In that case she could know what to avoid in the future. Jennifer nodded, it was better to accidently transform in the privacy of her house than at school anyways. Jennifer looked at the mirror, first thinking of something she truly believed was real. "Ghosts are real." Jennifer stated. The room replied with silence. Jennifers mind raced....did that mean she was safe or rather....ghosts actually did exist? Jennifer was about to smile until a sharp tingling erupted from her back, her tailbone exploding into a long thick fluffy tail. Her pants forced down a inch to make room for her new appendage.
Jennifer winced, "Alright, noted." Jennifer nodded to herself, ok, she was basically a universal all-knowing lie detector, just great. While she was tempted to just ask questions about the nature of the universe, she'd rather not turn even more into an animal than she had too. Jennifer rubbed her tail in her hand, it was both alien yet familiar, like if your leg was asleep and just starting to wake up again.
Jennifer thought about another scenario, lying through omission. Jennifer raised an eyebrow, that one might actually be hard to test by herself. She picked up her dad's toothbrush and set it in the medicine cabinet, an unusual place to say the least.
Finishing getting ready she picked her outfit, deciding on loose easy clothing to be the best, she selected a skirt and a simple tee-shirt and a baggy sweater. The tail forced her skirt to be slightly lopsided to the rear, unfortunately forced to flash the bear tip of her crack if her sweater failed to cover her lower waist. It was a pain, she wished she had some kind of underwear or clothes that accommodated her, it was the same with her ears. She really wanted to wear a hat, but nothing was comfortable now, it was like wearing earmuffs that were too tight.
Jennifer sighed as she accepted her disheveled appearance for now. Walking down to the living room she grabbed her pack and looked at her dad, still watching the morning news. "Hey dad, uh, just to let you know, I know where the toothbrushes are at." she waved as she quickly turned outside. Her dad confused but unable to respond at the weird statement. Jennifer quickly checked herself. No change. Sweet, Jennifer thought to herself. So it's stated lies, that was atleast good to know.
She walked out to the bus stop, her neighbor Sarah waiting for her. "Hey Jennifer, good morning." She said with a smile. She didn't comment on Jennifer's new look or anything, much like her dad nobody noticed anything different. Sarah turned, "Hey do you know what you made on that history exam? My mom chewed me out for getting a 78." she said with a pout.
Jennifer froze, her mind racing. Damn, I completely forgot what I made! Jennifer tried to recall as she replied with a um. It was something in the sixties but she couldn't remember the last digit. Jennifer shook her head. "I don't remember sorry." The curse unconvinced with a half-truth Jennifer felt the tingle return in force in her arm. Jennifer fell to her knees with a gasp as her left hand grew thick with dark leathery pads and black sharp nails. She grabbed her forearm with her right hand as she winced in pain, her hair thickening to fur as it grew white with a grey spotted pattern. Within an instant she was left with a anthropamorphic left arm, it's fur unnaturally and abruptly ending right at her shoulder. Sarah looked down at Jennifer "Hey what's wrong?" noticing the drop but not the change. Jennifer shook her head, "I'm fine, just help me up." Jennifer reaching out her right arm as she felt a shudder through her body as she stood up again. Her hair, once blonde, was quickly fading to be a sterling white and grey, no doubt extending not just with the hair on her head.
Jennifer pensively flexed her new left arm, it was scary to have her body change so quickly. Her mind desperately trying to keep up with its own form. Jennifer looked around as she could hear the bus coming, it was feint but undeniable. One good thing about having a leopards ears was better hearing Jennifer guessed to herself. Jennifer was thankful she went with the sweater, other than her hand it hid most of the changes, even if no one else noticed them, atleast she'd not have to look at them as much. After a few minutes the bus indeed came around the corner. Jennifer trying her best to be silent and just nodding along to Sarah's morning conversations. Stepping onto the bus Jennifer was hopeful she could find Kyle before it got too bad.
